Pop Tab contest winners announced

Contest benefits Ronald McDonald House in Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. – The winning schools in the Central Florida Pop Tab contest were announced Wednesday at the Ronald McDonald House.

One-hundred-three schools participated in the 2014 pop tab contest, collecting a total of 16,385 pounds.

The pop tabs will be recycled and turned into cash for the Ronald McDonald House, helping the critically injured children and their families in Central Florida.

Bunnell Elementary School – Bunnell -  248 pounds

Lake

Villages Elementary of Lady Lake – Lady Lake – 1,245 pounds

Marion

Howard Middle School – Ocala – 187 pounds

Orange

Audubon Park Elementary School – Orlando – 280 pounds

Osceola

Lakeview Elementary School – St. Cloud – 635 pounds

Seminole

Geneva Elementary School – Geneva – 425 pounds

Sumter

Lake Panasoffkee Elementary School – Lake Panasoffkee – 541 pounds

Volusia

Woodward Avenue Elementary – DeLand – 290 pounds
