Seminole County dance teacher charged with groping teen out on bond

Instructor accused of groping, kissing student

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A Seminole County dance instructor arrested after deputies say he groped a teen bonded out of jail on Wednesday and must wear a GPS tracking device.

The judge also said Harrison Prater, 27, is not allowed to be anywhere near children by himself because deputies are worried there could be more victims.

Harrison Jonathan Prater, of Orlando, an instructor at several dance schools in Orange and Seminole counties, was arrested Monday night on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior.

Deputies said a 14-year-old girl came forward saying he kissed and groped a girl.

Prater can't go within 1,500 feet of the victim's home, as well as four dance studios and can't have contact with the victim.

Investigators said they have been getting calls from parents who say Prater was their child's dance teacher but no new accusations have been brought against Prater.
