Skeletal remains found in Daytona Beach

Remains believed to be adult male, police say

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Police in Daytona Beach are trying to figure out the identity of skeletal remains found in the woods Monday.

Police said a driver stopped to go to the bathroom in the wooded area on Clyde Morris, just north of Mason Avenue and discovered the remains just before 4 p.m.

The remains had clothes on the body and are believed to possibly be an adult male, police said. It is not believed they are connected to the case of a mother and her two children murdered in Volusia County.

The skeletal remains were collected and taken to the morgue to determine cause of death.
