DELTONA, Fla. – The search for a missing Deltona woman and her two young children continues in Central Florida, as a pastor will talk to the man police say is responsible for the woman's death.
The search group Texas Equusearch and others on Monday searched again for 28-year-old Yessenia Suarez and her children, 8-year-old Michael Otto and 9-year-old Thalia Otto, all of whom are presumed dead.
Crews with Equusearch are now thinking of bringing in equipment with a birds eye view, like a drone. In the past, a drone has helped find three bodies, including the body of a 3-year-old boy who was missing for nearly 8 months in Texas.
Friends and family members on Sunday searched several locations around Deltona and a wooded area near Sanford for the bodies of the family. The volunteers included Equusearch and the Latin American Motorcycle Association.
The family hasn't been seen since Oct. 23. Suarez's husband, 31-year-old Luis Toldeo faces a second-degree murder charge after he confessed to killing her, according to officials. Her body hasn't been found. He he told deputies he didn't kill the children.
A VCSO spokesperson said on Monday that Toledo would be allowed to visit with a pastor from his church, but would not say when because of security concerns.
Volusia County Sheriff's officials also are continuing to search for the bodies, but they were not involved in Sunday's search.
