ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando police are searching for a man who they say beat and carjacked an elderly man early Monday morning.

Police said the man was attacked near his minivan in a parking lot on Crossroads Court just after 1 a.m.

The male suspects beat the victim in the head and face and drove off in his minivan, according to police.

The victim was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Several minutes later, police said they spotted the vehicle in Richmond Heights and two suspects ran from the minivan.

A 19-year-old suspect was taken into custody on Ravenall Avenue, but the second suspect was not found, police said.
