Police search for gunman

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A 16-year-old boy was robbed at gunpoint Sunday evening while walking to church in Daytona Beach, police said.

The robbery was reported around 6:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Mullally Street, on the grass right of way just north St. Paul's Catholic Church on North Ridgewood Avenue.

Daytona Beach police said the teenager was walking to St. Paul's Catholic Church when a man walked up behind him and said, "Give me your wallet."

The teen said he turned around and saw a man about 6 feet 2 inches tall and 180-190 pounds wearing a black hooded jacket, black denim pants and a black bandanna over his face, according to police.

The man then said, "Give me your f****** wallet," and pulled a gun from his pocket, police said.

The teen said he handed over his wallet and the man ran away, according to police.

The teen said his wallet contained $300, his driver's license, a school ID, an insurance card and credit cards.

Police said the teen was not injured but was "really shaken up."

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Daytona Beach police.
