TITUSVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Lottery announced on Wednesday that a Titusville man successfully claimed a $5 million prize from a Mega Millions drawing that was held on March 1.
News 6 partner Florida Today reports that Paul Reynolds purchased a Quick Pick ticket that matched all five numbers, but not the mega ball. Reynolds, however, added a multiplier to his ticket for $1, which multiplied the amount of money he won from $1 million to $5 million.

Reynolds' purchased the ticket at a Sunoco gas station at 6058 Sission Road in Titusville. The business received a $2,000 commission as a result of the win.
This is the latest in a series of winning purchases made by Brevard County residents.
A winning Fantasy 5 ticket was purchased in early March at K&D Discount Food & Beverage on Courtenay Parkway on Merritt Island, scoring a $52,724 jackpot.
A Palm Bay woman also won $1 million from a scratch-off in November, and two other winning Fantasy 5 tickets were purchased in October and August in Cocoa and Cocoa Beach, respectively.
Finally, a Melbourne Beach couple, David Kaltschmidt and Maureen Smith, won a share of the $1.58 billion Powerball jackpot in December. They opted for a one-time lump sum payment of $327,835,077 before taxes.
