ORLANDO, Fla. – The Marion County Sheriff's Office made two arrests June 30, finding an unexpected and ironic surprise in what was supposed to be a traffic stop.
After a sheriff observed Tina Gilmour, 28, turning north onto SE 170th Avenue Road from East Highway 40 in a pickup truck, the deputy immediately went to pull her over because he said she was driving with a suspended or revoked license. The deputy knew she did not have a license because he had issued her a notice to appear several days before for the same reason.
After the deputy tried to pull her over, Gilmour tried to escape before deciding to pull over and remove herself from the vehicle with her hands placed behind her back. James Mincey, 50, was also inside the car.
What the deputy found next made for an ironic surprise. Deputies said they found bottles and ingredients used to make Methamphetamine, but one of the bottles containing the illegal drug had the phrase, "My future is bright. No drugs in sight."
Gilmour and Mincey were both arrested and brought to the Marion County Jail, authorities said. Gilmour is being charged with driving while having a suspended or revoked license while Mincey was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of oxycontin and possession of diazepam.
