ORLANDO, Fla. – A worldwide travel alert has been issued for US citizens and officials say it's because of Al-Qaeda threats.
Initially, the state department announced embassies and consulates in key Middle East nations, like Iraq.
Local 6 spoke to travelers at Orlando International Airport who said they're nervous about the alert, but said it's not going to stop them from flying.
Many of these people, like Dean Tucker, are taking international flights to Europe.
"Every flight you go on this day and age, you got to weary of something going wrong with the flight, but you got to get used to it, otherwise you can can't go anywhere in the world," said Tucker. "You just have to grin and bear it."
