Infamous 'Vampire Killer' speaks out from prison

Rod Ferrell currently serving life sentence

ORLANDO, Fla. – The man behind one of Central Florida's most infamous killings will speak out on Monday's episode of Crime Watch Daily on News 6.

Rod Ferrell is currently serving a life sentence for killing a Eustis couple back in 1996. The case got national attention because Ferrell told investigators he believed he was a vampire and started a cult.

Due to a Supreme Court ruling, however,  Ferrell could be re-sentenced and possibly set free.

"I tried to embrace the lifestyle of being a vampire, and being so young, my mind latched on it so deeply that I got lost inside of it," Ferrell said in the interview.

Crime Watch Daily airs at 3 p.m. on News 6.
