Victims in weekend Pine Hills shootings identified

Deputies seek witnesses

PINE HILLS, Fla. – Deputies have identified three people who were fatally shot this weekend in Pine Hills, according to a news release.

Two separate incidents were reported during an eight-hour period in the Orange County neighborhood.

In the first, two people were fatally shot at 3:22 a.m. Saturday after an altercation at Caribbean Unity Center spilled into the parking lot, authorities said.

Deputies said Akeyl Jahmal Dennis, 33, was found dead outside the club. Orlando police found another victim, Juan Carlos Ilarazza, 26, near John Young Parkway and Princeton Street. Officials said Ilarazza was also shot outside the club and then fled the area in a car. The occupants of the vehicle flagged down a security guard to help.

Ilarazza was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he died.

In the second incident, deputies said Charles Daymon, 22, was fatally shot shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday outside Royal Place Apartments. 

The man who shot Daymon fled the area on foot and Daymon fled in a car, then crashed on Mercy Drive and West Colonial Drive, authorities said. He died after being taken to ORMC, according to a news release.

No arrests have been made in either incident. Deputies are asking anyone with information about the crimes to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
