Light north winds bring dry air to Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. – For those in Central Florida craving relief from the incessant heat, weather conditions on Thursday may be just what you need.

In Orlando, temperatures started the day in the 60s, and the mercury nearly dipped into the 50s in northern counties across Central Florida.

"Orlando started off at 67 degrees, marking the first time temperatures had dropped below 70 since May 28," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

High temperatures will warm to the average high of 86 degrees on Thursday and Friday.

High temperatures stay in the mid- and upper 80s through the weekend with no rain chances.

On Monday, Columbus Day, it will be dry with a high temperature of 85.
