WKMG newscast back on air at 5 p.m.

News 6 WKMG was experiencing technical difficulties Monday and had to cancel the 4 p.m. newscast.

We apologize for the inconvenience and will bring you your news at 5 p.m.

A semi truck snagged a power line around 2:26 p.m. at Carder Road and All American Boulevard, causing power outages in the area.

A Duke Energy official said 847 people were initially affected, including the News 6 WKMG studio on John Young Parkway.

Officials expect the issue to be resolved by 6 p.m.
