SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. – A woman was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center Tuesday after she crashed into a tree as she attempted to land while hang gliding.
Officials arrived to the scene in the area of Center Hill on County Road 569 to find the woman with serious injuries.

The woman was declared a trauma alert and was sent to the hospital via Aircare II.
No other details were immediately released.
