Fan runs onto field, tackles Orlando City star Kaka, police say

Nicolas Varon arrested at Camping World Stadium after MLS game

ORLANDO, Fla. – A fan at Saturday night's Orlando City game was arrested for running onto the field and tackling Lions superstar Kaka, police said.

Nicolas Varon (pictured below) was arrested at Camping World Stadium on charges of disorderly conduct.

According to Orlando police, Varon was sitting on the east side of the stadium when he jumped onto the field. He ran to the middle of the pitch and tackled Kaka, police said.

Varon was handcuffed and taken to the police office, but Kaka did not want to press charges, police said.

Varon was taken to the Orange County Jail and was issued a written trespass warning, police said.

"Due to the fact that Varon caused a public disturbance, and placed the safety of another in danger, I found there (was) probable cause to charge Varon with disorderly conduct (city ordinance)," the arresting officer said.

Orlando City won the match 2-1 versus the Montreal Impact.
