LOS ANGELES – The Orlando Predators beat the LA Kiss 43-41 on the road Sunday night.

The Predators trailed 14-0 early in the second quarter as Donovan Morgan caught two touchdowns passes from LA's Pete Thomas to start the game. The Predators said with 20 seconds remaining in the second quarter, Morgan caught a 7-yard score to give LA a 21-14 halftime lead.

Orlando tied the game on the opening drive of the third quarter, which the team said capped off a 12-play, 47-yard drive with a 4-yard touchdown strike from Bernard Morris to Brandon Thompkins.

The Kiss regained the lead off a 4-yard reception by Morgan, but Thompkins would take the ensuing kickoff and run for a 56-yard touchdown return to tie it heading into the fourth quarter, 28-28.

LA went ahead 41-35 off a 21-yard touchdown reception by Brandon Collins with 3:10 remaining in the game and a missed PAT gave the Predators a chance to win it on their final drive, the team said.

With 10 seconds left on the clock, Morris kept it on a designed run and raced 3 yards around the right end for the score, but another miss on the extra point attempt left the game tied, 41-41.

The Kiss returned the ensuing kickoff to their own 14 and lined up for a field goal attempt with 3 seconds remaining on the clock, team officials said. However, an errant snap went past the holder and hit the back wall of the end zone, resulting in a game-winning safety for Orlando.

Orlando hosts the Cleveland Gladiators at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
