Caron, Jobke assigned to Solar Bears

Orlando, FL – The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild and Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Iowa Wild and Toronto Marlies, announced today that forward Josh Caron and defenseman Colton Jobke have been assigned to the team from the Iowa Wild.

Caron (6-4, 215 lbs.) skated in 25 games for the Solar Bears last season and registered 11 appearances for the Houston Aeros of the AHL. He split the 2011-12 season between the Kamloops Blazers and Everett Silvertips (WHL) where he had a combined 159 PIM, which placed him eighth in the WHL. In 2009-10 the Campbell River, British Columbia, native played in 60 games for the Blazers and posted 190 PIM.

Jobke (6'0", 170 lbs.) played the final three games for the Solar Bears last season, picking up 10 PIM. Prior to turning pro, he played in 31 games with the Regina Pats in the Western Hockey League (WHL) in 2012-13, scoring three goals and chipping in 15 assists for 18 points along with 58 penalty minutes (PIM). The Tsawwassen, BC, native appeared in 222 games during his WHL career, tallying 14 goals and 51 assists for 65 points to go along with 317 PIM.
