The police report from June 19 said Skuta struck up a conversation with the victim, who News4Jax is not naming, flirted with her and asked for her phone number. According to the report, she refused to give it to him and the two began an argument, which turned physical when Skuta pushed the victim's faced with an open hand, causing the back of her head to hit a glass window.

The report said the victim did not have any visible injuries and declined medical attention but chose to press charges.

According to the officer who filed the report, Skuta had bloodshot, glassy eyes and smelled of alcohol.

Team spokesman Dan Edwards issued a statement about the arrest on Monday:

"The Jaguars are aware of the situation involving linebacker Dan Skuta and are currently gathering more information. The team has been in constant communication with Dan through this process in its entirety. No further comment can be made at this time."

Skuta, 30, played for Grand Valley State University and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Bengals in 2009.
