I-4 reopens in Orlando after semi hauling food catches fire

I-4 west was closed near Orange Blossom Trail

ORLANDO, Fla. – A semitrailer carrying food caught fire Thursday morning on Interstate 4 in Orlando, closing the roadway.

I-4 west was closed near John Young Parkway and Orange Blossom Trail, but lanes were later reopened.

Orlando city officials said crews put the fire out, but no other details about the incident have been released.

Video from a traffic camera showed flames and smoke coming from the semi and blowing across the interstate, with traffic backed up in the area.
