In a March 4 news release, DeLand police said a gunshot was fired in the 100 block of North Woodland Boulevard, damaging a downtown storefront. Police did not identify the business that was damaged.

An investigation led to a warrant being issued for King, police said. He faces charges of shooting into a building and culpable negligence.

An investigation prompted the closure of Woodland Boulevard from Indiana to New York avenues, but the roadway was later reopened.

No other details have been released.
