Florida troopers investigate 2-vehicle wreck

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 21-year-old Orlando man was killed late Tuesday when a car turned into the direct path of his motorcycle, resulting in a collision, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The fatal wreck happened around 9:45 p.m. at Oak Ridge Road at Texas Avenue.

The FHP said the man was riding a 2023 Honda motorcycle west on Oak Ridge when a 28-year-old Orlando man driving a 2009 Acura RL, headed east on Oak Ridge, made a left turn in front of the bike. The front of the Acura struck the front of the motorcycle, troopers said.

The motorcyclist was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead, an FHP crash report said.

The Acura driver was not injured and stayed at the scene, according to troopers.

An investigation is ongoing.
