BUNNELL, Fla. – Five people were killed Sunday in a three-vehicle crash in Flagler County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The fatal crash happened at 11:45 a.m. on U.S. 1 at Old Dixie Highway by White Eagle.
All five victims, ages 58, 74, 70, 53 and 64, were traveling in a 2008 Mazda Tribute, the FHP said. Their names have not been released.
Troopers said a preliminary investigation shows that the 58-year-old driver turned into the direct path of a Ford F-250, and the vehicles collided. A 22-year-old Bunnell woman and a 4-year-old girl in the pickup truck suffered minor injuries, the FHP said. The driver of the pickup was not hurt.
The two vehicles then struck a 2016 Toyota Camry, the FHP said. The driver, a 72-year-old Ormond Beach man, suffered minor injuries, troopers said.
The three victims who suffered minor injuries were taken to Florida Hospital Flagler.
