Passerby finds body of man killed in ATV crash Troopers ID victim as Avery Wayne Paul, of Groveland No description found
GROVELAND, Fla. – A 43-year-old man was found dead Monday morning in Lake County after his ATV crashed into a fence, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said Avery Wayne Paul, of Groveland, died in the crash, which was reported around 6:30 a.m. at Brantley and Mascotte Empire roads in Groveland.
The FHP said Paul was riding the ATV eastbound on Brantley Road and traveled off the road for an unknown reason. He struck a fence and was ejected from the vehicle, troopers said.
Paul's body was found by a passerby around 6 a.m., the FHP said. Troopers believe that the crash happened in the overnight hours.
The crash remains under investigation.
