Driver runs red light, crashes into Lynx bus in Orlando, police say

Roads closed in area during investigation

ORLANDO, Fla. – A driver ran a red light Tuesday morning and crashed into a Lynx bus in Orlando, sending four people to the hospital, police said.

The wreck was reported around 5:35 a.m. on Colonial Drive at Mercy Drive.

According to Orlando police, a vehicle traveling east on Colonial went through a red light and crashed into the bus, which was northbound on Mercy Drive.

The bus driver and two of the three passengers were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.  

The driver of the other vehicle was also taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. She was found at fault for the crash, police said.

Roads were closed in the area for about an hour.
