Truck hits school bus in Orlando, fire rescue says

Both directions of Clarcona Ocoee Road blocked

ORLANDO, Fla. – A truck slammed into the back of a school bus on Clarcona Ocoee Road Thursday morning, according to the Orange County Fire and Rescue Department.

The accident happened at 6:06 a.m. on Clarcona Ocoee Road near Apopka Vineland Road.

The driver of the pickup truck became entrapped after the crash and was airlifted to a hospital.

Only one student was on board the bus when it was hit, a fire rescue spokesperson said. The bus was not an Orange County Public Schools owned or operated bus, according to the school district.

Both directions of Clarcona Ocoee Road are blocked off while the crash is being cleared.
