Heat advisory in effect for Brevard County

ORLANDO, Fla. – Happy Weekend! Saturday morning begins warm and muggy.

The heat increases quickly today across Central Florida. Daytime highs are expected to warm into the middle-to-upper 90s across inland spots and lower 90s along the coast.

Saturday's highs

Due to the high heat and humidity, there’s a heat advisory from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for Brevard County. It could feel like 110 degrees and you might get heat-related illnesses. Remember to drink water, take breaks often and stay in the shade if you’re going outside.

There is marginal risk (level 1/5) for Marion, Flagler, Volusia, Orange and Brevard counties for isolated strong-to-severe thunderstorms.
