Cyber Monday expected to be largest shopping day in US history

Shoppers to spend an estimated $6.6 billion

ORLANDO, Fla. – Big sales are expected on Black Friday, but it may not compare to what's to come on Cyber Monday.

Adobe Analytics is forecasting Monday to be the largest shopping day in U.S. history. 

Americans are expected to shell out $6.6 billion online the Monday after Thanksgiving, while Black Friday is expected to rake in $5 billion in online sales. 

Cyber Monday began in 2005 as a way to promote online retail, and the annual shopping day has grown from year-to-year.
