Ocoee Holds Off West Orange Rally, Wins 31-29

Knights Builts 28-0 Halftime Lead

Nov. 4, 2016 – The Ocoee Knights withstood a furious second half comeback from West Orange to win the latest edition of the "Shield" rivalry 31-29.

BJ Bohler returned an interception 70+yards to cap off Ocoee's scoring in the first half, giving the Knights a 28-0 lead at the break.

West Orange never quit, taking advantage of stalled Ocoee drives, miscues, and penalties, scoring two quick touchdowns in the third quarter to make it a football game again.

However, a late field goal from Ocoee proved to be the difference as the Knights beat the Warriors for the first time in the last 7 meetings.

Ocoee, which improved to 7 & 3, is on to the playoffs and opens with Bartram Trail.
West Orange wraps up the season with a 2 & 7 record.
