Each year, massive and colorful balloons wow crowds and thousands of other people who watch annual Thanksgiving Day parades -- both in person and on television.

All these special characters and novelties flying through the sky bring about some questions:

  • How much helium is required to blow up balloons?
  • What are the most common characters used?
  • How many people does it take to hold up the balloons?
