In a release, company officials said that McDonald’s restaurants in the U.S. are slated to offer a brand-new chicken dish.

“We’ve been listening to our fans on social and beyond, and they have made one thing clear: they want more chicken,” the release reads. “But not just any chicken — they want juicy, dippable perfection."

As a result, McDonald’s restaurants will soon feature “McCrispy Strips” — chicken strips made with 100% white meat and a black pepper flavor — along with Creamy Chili Dip.

According to the company, this marks the first time since 2021 that McDonald’s restaurants in the U.S. have permanently added an item to their menus.

“The demand for chicken strips has been remarkable to see across the industry, so we knew we had to deliver something so craveable that it was worth the wait,” said Alyssa Buetikofer, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s. “We took our time, listened to our fans and created a product we knew they would crave. And the best part is we’re just getting started.”

Per the release, guests can purchase these McCrispy Strips in three- or four-piece counts, which will be served with one or two Creamy Chili Dip sauce cups, respectively.

The chili dip itself was described as a “savory, sweet and tangy sauce that unlocks the full Strips experience.”

The McCrispy Strips and Creamy Chili Dip are schedule to be available in all participating restaurants across the country starting May 5.

“And that’s a wrap...” the release finishes. “At least for now!”
