FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Publix is set to unveil its latest supermarket in Florida on Thursday morning, according to the company.
In a release, Publix spokeswoman Lindsey Willis said the upcoming location is situated in Fort Lauderdale at 2895 N. Ocean Blvd.

“The 29,495-square-foot store will offer departments for grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat and fresh produce, as well as a full-service bakery, deli and pharmacy,” she explained. “This location offers a unique shopping experience just steps from the beach, and we’re excited to provide our customers with the quality, convenience and service they know and love.”
The location puts the supermarket along the Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway, just a few blocks from the coastline of Fort Lauderdale Beach.
But many of the chain’s locations can range from 45,000-50,000 square feet, so this store may appear much smaller by comparison.
Regardless, the store is set to hold its grand opening on Thursday at 7 a.m.
However, that’s not the only new Publix store coming to the Sunshine State.
According to Publix officials, another new location is scheduled to open on June 26 at the Shopper’s Haven Shopping Center in Pompano Beach.
