SANFORD, Fla. – A popular Sanford tiki bar has declared that it will close for good next month.
That bar — Suffering Bastard along South Myrtle Avenue — posted to Facebook on Wednesday to announce that April marks the bar’s 7th anniversary.
However, the owner also revealed that April 30 will be the last day of the bar’s service in Sanford.

“To anyone who’s spent their hard-earned money at our establishment, we thank you,” a release from Suffering Bastard reads. “Thank you to the Tuffy’s owners and staff for making this a great experience.”
The release shows that the bar is making a transition to a new location in the Mills 50 area of Orlando.
While no opening date for that location has yet been released, the owner said it may be in the first quarter of 2027.
“See ya on the other side,” the release concludes. “No goodbyes, just see ya laters!”
