1 dead, 2 injured in Orlando shooting, police say

Danzig Court closed as investigation continues

ORLANDO, Fla. – One person was killed and two others were injured early Sunday in a shooting, the Orlando Police Department said.

Police said they arrived at the scene of the shooting in the 4700 block of Danzig Court just after 3:30 a.m. to find Alexus Clarke, 18, fatally shot and two others with gunshot wounds.

One of the victims was in critical condition and the other was stable, police said.

"When I woke up this morning, it was all of this commotion out here," resident Curtis Clark said.

Clark lives feet away from the crime scene. He said he didn't hear any gunfire, but other neighbors told News 6 they heard rapid gunfire and said it sounded like fireworks.

"I hate that it happened like that. We don't have nothing happen out here like that," Clark said.

The road was blocked off as investigators took pictures of the scene. News 6 saw several evidence markers lining the road.

News 6 also saw investigators focusing on a green car that was parked at the end of the street.

Police have not released any suspect information. No other details were immediately available.

"I hope they catch them, put them in jail for a long time," Clark said.
