ORLANDO, Fla. – The private investigator who videotaped a search of the woods where Caylee Anthony's remains were found said the man he was with knew the toddler was already dead weeks before her body was found.
After being deposed by Casey Anthony's defense attorney on Thursday, Jim Hoover said fellow private investigator Dominic Casey told him Caylee was dead while they were videotaping a search of the wooded area near the Anthony family home. Caylee's remains were found in the same area weeks later.

"I said, 'Well let's go get her,' figuring she was alive somewhere, and he (Casey) said, 'We can't. She's dead and I know where she is,'" Hoover said.
Casey told investigators he was tipped off to search that area by a psychic.
Also on Thursday, defense attorney Jose Baez deposed the corrections officers who were with Casey Anthony in the Orange County Jail during key days in the investigation -- including the day Caylee's remains were discovered.
Corrections officer Billy Richardson was deposed at 11 a.m., followed by Tammy Unser at 1 p.m. Both officers were present the day Anthony was informed about a child's remains being located down the street from her east Orange County home. Video of Anthony's reaction to the news was recorded. Baez said the release of that video would be a violation of Anthony's rights.
Marlene Baker was also deposed Thursday. She is the corrections officer whom Anthony gave a letter requesting a private meeting with her father, George Anthony.
Meanwhile, the Anthony family's attorney, Brad Conway, said he expected the jail to deny his request for an in-person meeting between Casey Anthony and her parents.
"At the very least what we want is for Cindy and George Anthony to visit with Casey without it being videotaped and released the very next day and on Nancy Grace that night. They just need some privacy with her," Conway said.
A jail representative said Conway has made no formal request and the jail has no intention of providing any special treatment for Casey Anthony.
Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder her daughter's death. Caylee was 2 years old when she was reported missing in July. Her remains were found in December.
