A Florida Highway Patrol trooper investigating an auto accident around 11:45 p.m. reported the fire at the Pinch-a-Penny Center located at 1805 E. Semoran Blvd.
Orange County firefighters arrived to find Ideal Food Store, one of four stores in the strip mall, engulfed in flames.
The shopping plaza consists of the grocery store, a pawn shop, a hair salon and a pool supply store.
A hazardous materials squad was called in case there was an issue with the dangerous chemicals, fire officials said.
?Because of our firefighters? professional work, damage to the other stores was minimized," Orange County Battalion Chief Brett Wasmund said.
No one was injured.
The state fire marshal's office will investigate the cause of the fire.
