Man arrested in fatal shooting near UCF

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man has been arrested in connection to the shooting of a 21-year-old found in an apartment near UCF on Tuesday.

Joshua Cox, 23, was arrested Wednesday at his home on Rouse Run Circle in connection to the death of Frank Perry, 21.

Perry was found dead with a gunshot wound at the Arbour Apartments Tuesday morning. The incident is believed to be drug-related, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

According to booking reports, deputies charged Cox with first degree murder with a firearm, robbery with a firearm and use of a firearm in committing a felony.

Cox is being held at the Orange County Jail on Thursday without bail.

Orange County Sheriff's deputies said he doesn't have a criminal history.
