Vote recount official: John Bond wins Cape Canaveral council seat Recount gave Bond 2 more votes
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – John Bond was officially declared winner of a Cape Canaveral council seat after a vote recount Friday morning, Local 6 news partner Florida Today reports.
The recount follows Bond's six-vote victory over opponent Adam Shaffer in Tuesday's election.
After Friday morning's recount, Bond's victory margin expanded by two votes. Final count: Bond, 800 votes; Shaffer, 792.
