Slam dunk contest participants announced Williams, George, Shumpert and Budinger all making debut No description found
ORLANDO, Fla. – Dwight Howard, Michael Jordan, Vince Carter, Kobe Bryant and Dominique Wilkins all have one thing in common. They are slam dunk champions. Derrick Williams, Paul George, Chase Budinger and Iman Shumpert hope to add their name to list during All-Star weekend in Orlando.
The four players were named as the participants in the 2012 Sprite Slam Dunk championship at Amway Center. All are making their first appearance in the contest.
According to a news release from the NBA, the winner will be chosen solely by fan vote. Celebrity judges have chosen the winner in previous years.
The 2012 Sprite Slam Dunk championship will be held Saturday February 25th, the night before the All-Star Game.
