ORLANDO, Fla. – A girl walking in Orlando on Monday afternoon was touched inappropriately by a man who got out of a vehicle, prompting police to issue a safety alert.
The incident happened about 2:40 p.m. on Summerlin Avenue in the Lake Davis area.
According to Orlando police, the 15-year-old girl was walking north on Summerlin when she was approached by a burgundy SUV.
Two men were inside the SUV, and one of them got out and made inappropriate comments before touching her, police said.
The man got back into the vehicle after he saw a bicyclist nearby, police said.
The SUV then drove south on Summerlin Avenue.
Both men were described as older and white with white hair. The passenger was about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium to large build. He was wearing a plaid shirt.
The girl was not injured.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call Orlando police.
Residents in the neighborhood said they feel nervous since hearing about the incident.
"You let your guard down when you live in a neighborhood, like you feel safe," said resident Adrienne Wilson.
