According to Florida Today, the memorial service for Kurrus, Jr. will begin at 1 p.m. at Calvary Chapel in West Melbourne.  His family told Florida Today they would like friends and family to donate to funds set up for Gaines and Franklin in lieu of flowers.

Kurrus, Jr. founded Premiere Theatres Oaks Stadium 10 in Melbourne and was the former vice president for Regal Cinemas.

A preliminary investigation into the crash indicates the pilot of the plane was attempting to avoid a mid-air collision while trying to land.
