Woman charged with 42 lewd and lascivious battery counts

VIERA, Fla. – Brevard County deputies have arrested a 32-year-old woman they say had sexual relationships with at least one high school student.

Deputies said Alysia Flynn, 32, of Viera, was engaging in a sexual relationship with a teen who was a family friend.

Flynn previously worked for Cocoa Police Department as a part-time booking officer, according Lt. Tod Goodyear of Brevard County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said the investigation began after they were tipped off that Flynn had allegedly hosted parties at her home and provided access to drugs and alcohol.

Through the investigation, deputies said they learned Flynn initiated and engaged in a sexual relationship with the teen over the course of a year, starting when the victim was 15.

Flynn is being charged with 42 counts of lewd and lascivious battery, 53 counts of unlawful sexual activity with minors, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and interference with child custody.

She was arrested Thursday. Deputies continue to investigate, and said there could be other victims.
