ORLANDO, Fla. – Boxer Hector 'Macho' Camacho was arrested in Orange County Monday night on child abuse charges, according to Orange County sheriff's deputies.
49-year-old Camacho, a lightweight boxing champion in the 1980s, was booked into Orange County Jail on $5,000 bond. He was later released.
The Orlando Sentinel reports is accused of picking up his son by the neck, slamming him on the ground and stomping on him March 22, 2011 because he was angry about money. State Attorney's filed the charge against Camacho in November.
