New report from The New York Times
ORLANDO, Fla. – A lot of use it to wash our clothes, but a new study finds, Tide detergent may be secretly exposing you to a cancer-causing chemical.
That's according to a report from The New York Times.
It finds that Tide has trace amounts of dioxane, which the Environmental Protection Agency says can cause cancer in lab rats.
Environmental groups are now asking Tide to change its formula.
But Procter & Gamble, the company that makes the detergent, says there isn't enough of the chemical in Tide to be dangerous.
