UCF surf team member takes home national title Amy Nicholl takes home her 2nd national title in three years No description found
ORLANDO, Fla. – Amy Nicholl, a 22-year-old from New Smyrna Beach, has taken home her second national title in three years in the college women's division at the National Scholastic Surfing Association's Interscholastic National Championship.
Nicholl is a marketing major at UCF and a member of the UCF Surf Team. She said she is thrilled to finish her college career with a win, after starting it with one when she won as a freshman in 2009.
"To finish my collegiate surfing career with another win is just the best possible thing I could have imagined," Nicholl said in a release.
The championships will be televised July 13 at 9 p.m. on CBS Sports Network. Local 6 will air the highlights during a one hour special on August 12.
