Mother, child end up in Universal Orlando lagoon

ORLANDO, Fla. – A woman jumped into a lagoon at Universal Orlando on Tuesday after her child apparently fell into the water.

No one was injured in the incident, which occurred near the Dr. Seuss ride at Islands of Adventure.

Universal spokesman Tom Schroder said there was a railing between the theme park guest area and the water.  It's not known if the child, whose age was not released, intentionally jumped into the lagoon.

Orlando firefighters and Universal's health services team responded to the incident, Schroder said.

The mother and child were offered showers and "all is well," Schroder said.
