Volusia County to release beach app for smartphone Weather, traffic, parking information available on phone
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – Soon, planning the perfect beach day will be as simple as logging onto your smartphone with the Volusia County Beach Navigator App.
The app uses GPS and real-time data, allowing the user to tailor their experience to view weather data. With the app, you can see the current conditions, surf and rip current risks, traffic information and a shot of your destination so you can see if there is parking.
Another feature guides users to specific criteria, such as the closest restrooms.
The app is expected to be released within the next few weeks.
