Tow company charges 'cursing fee'

Woman says company charged her nearly double because of language

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – A woman claims a towing company charged her an extra cursing fee, because she did not watch her language.

Several cars, including one belonging to Mahogony Grandison, were towed from the street. Grandison claims others paid $200 to get their cars back, while her fee was nearly double, WHNT-TV in Alabama reported.

When she asked the company about the extra charge, the owner of Affordable Towing told her they charged an extra $150 for cursing at them.

Although Grandison denies any altercation, Huntsville police say there was a verbal argument when she went to pick up her car.

The owner of the towing company says if the woman apologizes, he may give her a partial refund.
