Macklemore helps open Microsoft store in Jacksonville Grand opening includes free concert
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – People were lined up for blocks outside a Microsoft retail store that opened its doors for the first time Friday morning at the St. Johns Town Center, Local 6 news partner News4Jax.com reported.
The first customers will receive prizes and free tickets to see Macklemore & Ryan Lewis in concert Saturday. The special performance will take place in the south parking lot of St. Johns Town Center near Dick's Sporting Goods.
Please note that Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will not make an appearance at the store during the grand opening ceremony on Friday and will just perform at St. Johns Town Center on Saturday in celebration of the grand opening of the new Microsoft retail store.
The new store will also be selling the newly released Xbox One at its store.
As a part of the Microsoft retail store's commitment to the local community, the Microsoft retail store will be making software donations to organizations during the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
