Crooks break into Oviedo storage units
Man's flat-screen TV, sound system stolen at Compass Self Storage
OVIEDO, Fla. – Seminole County deputies are looking for two women and a man who broke into more than a dozen storage units early Friday morning in Oviedo.
Staff at Compass Self Storage said they provided surveillance video to investigators that shows the trio breaking into the units. The thieves used bolt cutters to cut through the fence surrounding the facility.
John Kijowski, of Oviedo, says they took his 23-inch Panasonic flat-screen TV and part of his Bose surround-sound system.
General manager Priscilla Cruz says the crooks also broke other units, including seven empty ones.
Cruz says it appears they were at the facility for about 40 minutes.
Deputies took several items into evidence for fingerprinting.
