FLORIDA CITY, Fla. – In most cases, people in Florida will put chicken, steak or pork on the grill during the holiday weekend. One Florida family decided to put a python under the grill.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue says a family in Florida City used their grill to trap a 12-foot-long Burmese python that was found slithering near their home.

The venom unit went to the South Florida home late Thursday night and held the snake until Florida Fish and Wildlife officers arrived to take it.
